Show up at our place at noon for an all-day Indiana Jones marathon. We'll watch all three original films on DVD, and then head to the nearby theater to watch Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

The nearest Metro Station is New Carrollton (end of the Orange Line), and we can provide rides to those who need them. If you are driving, your services as a taxi may be needed to get to the theater, which is a few miles away. If you just want to see the movie at the theater, it's very near the Greenbelt Metro station on the Green Line.

There's a strict limit of 15 people coming, so only RSVP "Yes" if you really can make it. While it is freshly cleaned, this apartment is still pretty small.

We could watch the movies on my old 26" CRT TV, but if someone can bring a projector (or, if they want to lug it around, an HDTV), we could set that up instead.

We'll be seeing the 7:50PM showtime at the Academy Stadium Theater in Greenbelt. You can purchase tickets here . You should purchase tickets ahead of time, as I suspect they'll sell out. The address of the theater, for those only attending the movie screening, is
6198 Greenbelt Rd.
Greenbelt, MD 20770

For those taking the metro, a train arrives at New Carrollton station at 11:44AM. Brian and/or I will be there to pick up some people, but if another person driving could be there as well, that would help. You can use http://www.wmata.com... to plan your trip accordingly.

For those driving, you will need to park in a designated visitor area and use a visitor permit (which we will provide) or you will be towed.

It was a lot of fun, thanks to all to came, and an extra big thanks to Lars for organizing the event. The movie was also good, and it was cool to watch the first three first. Overall, great meetup!

I have the worst luck with this meetup! Alas...I woke up this morning under the weather and don't want to get the rest of you sick. If it goes away later, I'll join you at the movie theatre. I promise, I'm not a flake! I even baked a cake to bring.

If anyone wants to bring drinks (of either the hard or soft variety) or snacks, they're welcome to do so. We'll be ordering pizza, so if you can, bring cash.

I wish I could make it, but I'm in a wedding--well, engagement party--so I have to be in Reston. Or maybe it's Vienna. Someplace in Virginia.

School's out, now's the time for me to rejoin the real world for a bit. :)

Who attended?

    •  It was a lot of fun and also a pleasure opening up our home to watch all the movies.
    •  Thanks to our hosts, Brian and Lars, for having us over! It was fun to see the movies again with everyone. Now every time I hear an evil laugh I'll feel like having a drink. ;)
